Spring update from Luminate Towers
IPOs, website launches and a new TSR tool for investors
It’s finally Spring, the Sun has been shining for most of us, and we imagine many are returning to work after some much needed time off over the Easter holidays. Oh, and the kids are back to school, hurrah! It’s been a busy few weeks in Luminate land so here’s a peek at what’s been keeping the team out of trouble.
First up, we were thrilled to support Quantum Base Holdings PLC (LON:QUBE) with their successful IPO on the London Stock Exchange’s Alternative Investment Market (AIM) on 4th April, with the delivery of automated regulatory announcements and share price related services which have been embedded into Quantum Base’s investor-focused microsite. We’re looking forward to seeing what comes next from QUBE.
Creightons Plc (LON:CRL) moves to AIM
Creightons designs, develops, manufactures and distributes high-quality beauty and personal care products in a broad range of categories. The Group employs around 380 staff and enjoys full-service supply partnerships with key brands and major retailers across domestic and international markets.
With a fresh new look, we launched the site to coincide with their move from the London Stock Exchange’s Main Market to AIM on 31st March, helping the company meet its regulatory compliance and legislative requirements under ‘AIM Rule 26‘ as part of the process.
While Creightons already manages multiple websites for its branded products, including a range of e-commerce stores, the corporate website was in need of modernisation and their move to AIM offered the perfect opportunity. We were only too happy to lend our expertise!

We had a lot of fun working with their vibrant brand identity and amazing image library, but it was equally important for the new site to be easy to maintain and update, something Creightons’ digital team is keen to manage in-house alongside the rest of their digital estate.
Sound Energy Plc (LON:SOU) website launch
Sound Energy Plc is an AIM quoted transition energy-focused business, currently playing an important role in developing lower carbon energy solutions for Morocco.
Sound’s previous website was built using Umbraco. As regular readers will know, at Luminate we’re big fans of WordPress for lots of reasons, but the lack of ongoing license fees and hassle free maintenance definitely make it attractive from a budget perspective. Something that might take hours with Umbraco can be done in minutes using WordPress, and its popularity makes technical maintenance and updates a breeze too.
We included some nice finishing touches (including an interactive map, a thoughtfully designed Results Centre, and an updated share price and market data page), but we also spent significant time working with them and their advisers to refine their corporate narrative and messaging, ensuring the website communicates clearly with multiple stakeholder audiences.

We think the end result speaks for itself and we’re proud to include it within our portfolio. Maybe you’d like us to craft a new site for you that we’re just as proud of? If so, drop us a line.
A new Total Shareholder Return (TSR) toolset
Designed for some of our larger clients, or simply those who issue regular dividends, the latest addition to our market data-driven investor tools suite is an enhanced Total Shareholder Return (TSR) toolset.
Total Shareholder Return (TSR) is a key performance metric to measure an investors gain or loss, including capital appreciation and any dividends paid, to effectively quantify a shareholder’s return over a specific period. For dividend paying stocks, a dip in the share price doesn’t always mean a loss overall.

We’ve already delivered a dividend history tool to a couple of clients, but our new TSR toolet takes things a few steps further, helping investors to understand dividend paying stocks in greater context by including share price performance alongside the returns from dividend payments.
We’re still testing the enhanced tool in our staging environment but it’ll be live on client sites soon. For now, you can see the screenshot teasers where it includes:
- Summary information on the most recent dividend with YTD returns
- A total return summary visualised over set time periods
- Annual dividend breakdown including the yield for each year
- Interactive TSR calculations based on the purchase date
- Interactive charting for returns with and without dividend re-investment
- Periodical shareholder returns over set timeframes
- Historical dividend data that’s visualised in a linked chart and table format
We came at an old problem through fresh eyes and have delivered, what we hope to be, a set of TSR related tools which are easy to use and understand. We’ve still got a few things to tidy up and a couple of features to implement, but we’re hoping visitors who interact with the tool in future will find it clear and intuitive.
With more sites due to go live imminently and many more in development we’re keeping busy, but we’ve always got room for one more (well, nearly always….), so if you’re considering some updates to your corporate website, are reviewing vendors to ensure you’re getting the most bang for your buck, or are interested in increasing engagement with your stakeholders, get in touch with the team and let’s chat?
