A modern and flexible pricing alternative

As many of our clients and prospects reading this will know, our industry tends to provide services for successive 12-month periods, payable yearly in advance in an annual licence fee arrangement. It’s how we’re used to working, and with good reason! But what if you’re looking for something more flexible?

We pay for our market-data, re-distribution licences, salaries and other overheads like webserver resources on an annual basis, so it makes sense for us to package and resell our client services on similar terms.

Even so, we’re keen on innovating for the benefit of our clients, so we’ve come up with a new way to package, contract and price our products that might be of interest to some of you.

Introducing our new monthly pay-as-you-go service

We’re all used to monthly subscription fees for almost everything these days. From Netflix or Amazon Prime, to our mobile phone bill, internet service providers and even utilities like gas or electric.

We tend to pay for these things monthly, and in many cases we can cancel or change our packages without too much notice, or incurring cancellation fees. There’s no fear of accidentally renewing and being stuck with a service you don’t want for another year, and above all, monthly subscription fees help us manage our outgoings and keeps things affordable.

Luminate is now pleased to confirm a new pricing and licencing model for our investor tools in a similar, and hopefully, familiar way.

We know some clients don’t mind paying annually in advance as they prefer maximum cost savings; while others – we anticipate – prefer the appeal of a more manageable monthly rate, or simply don’t want to be locked in for a year at a time. So now we offer both! It sounds so simple we’re not sure why we didn’t think of it sooner.

Simple tiered packages

Luminate offers a wide range of market data-driven investor tools designed to enhance any corporate website or investor centre microsite, check out our catalogue to see some of the solutions we offer.

While the pricing for each service does differ slightly – a small share price widget is quicker to create and uses less resource, and therefore costs less, than our regulatory announcements or email alerts tools as they are more complex and incur additional running costs – but for those looking to take advantage of our new flexible structure, we’ve decided to keep things simple and straightforward.

  • Bronze – any 1 service
  • Silver – any 3 services
  • Gold – any 5 services
  • Platinum – 6 or more services

You can mix and match the services you require for your project for a flat rate fee, so if this is of interest please contact us for a quote (we don’t feel like making the prices for each tier public just yet, but we might do soon!).

Once live, you can move tiers or cancel with two months’ notice. Otherwise it’s a simple flat-rate monthly fee which can be collected via Direct Debit or you can create a Standing Order, saving both of us the hassle of issuing and chasing payment on invoices!

There’s no minimum term and no lock-in period beyond our standard cancellation terms. But most importantly, there’s no lumpy annual bill to budget for either. Just pay the monthly fee until you’re ready for a change.
